Black is Back with Arthur’s Day 2011

So Arthur's Day just just a few weeks away, and we're making a toast to Arthur Guinness. for making the best black brew we've ever get to enjoy =)

Do you know who is this chap here? This chap's called Arthur Guinness, and you best be recognizing his face and this fine portrait of him. This guy was responsible for Guinness, one of the world's most successful beer brands in the world. Your daddy, uncle, aunt, cousin, grandfather, boss, co-workers, classmates, dorm mates, bartenders have this guy to thank for, for making their day awesome.

Now what better way to thank Arthur Guinness is to have a worldwide celebration, to celebrate his invention by making a toast with him, along with a worldwide concert event to make things even better.

So in 2009, Kuala Lumpur was rocked and pumped out by the The Black Eyed Peas for the night.

A year later, Colby O'Donis, Flo Rida and Sean Kingston along with our very own hip hop queen, Mizz Nina.

So this coming 23rd of September (Friday), I'm really excited about this one act that's definitely gonna set the stage alive.
Its none other than Taio Cruz, the English R&B singer that ruled the airwaves last year with "Break Your Heart", "Dynamite" and the one with Kylie Minogue and Travie McCoy, "Higher".

I think Taio Cruz is the best choice to be the main act for Arthur's Day. Just listen to his songs, it suits how Arthur's Day should be.

With the main act all to be excited about, one more thing that the organizer got us more involved on how the concert should start off is we get to pick which local act to open up on Arthur's Day.

We have local singer James Baum, the lovely Prema Yin, rock bands like Dragon Red, Naked Breed and Rosevelt and not to forget hip hop act Jin Hackman and CSBTEA =D

So these local acts need your votes to decide which one among them gets to fill in the opening act slot. Your votes are valuable to them and can change their career forever!!

So one lucky local act and Taio Cruz will be celebrating and kicking off Arthur's Day Malaysia celebration with the invited crowds at 17:59 p.m onwards (That's 5:59 p.m to make things easier to remember) at Speed City KL, Selangor Turf Club.

So in a few weeks from today, 3 friends of mine are excited and also hoping to be invited to his event, and be among the thousands and millions across the world to make a toast to Arthur Guinness. And I do hope whoever reads this post will be there too.

Its gonna be an awesome Friday night, gathering together to shout,"TO ARTHUR!!"

Vampires Suck

Here's the thing, I'm not really a fan of the Twilight series. At times I do hate the whole Team Edward-Team Jacob-Team Bella or whoever these fans support craze, I dislike how even my friend's girlfriends would be like

" Eh why can't you be more like Edward ah?"

"You gain weight tau, can you like get the Jacob body ah. Like that lagi best.."

Twilight in general is a movie about a girl, who couldn't decided whether to be with a dead man or with a mutt.

Out of curiosity, I've watched the first Twilight movie. That movie taught me that vampires can be vegetarians by eating animal meat, can shine when exposed to sunlight instead of dying. And also, vampires are a bunch of emo lots. And to top it off, every time Edward walks in a scene slow motion........the girls sitting in the cinema hall will squeak and go "OMG OMG OMG HE'S SOOOOO HAAWWTTT"

Thank goodness, some people really beh tahan the whole Twilight saga craze, and decided to make a movie to tell us all.....VAMPIRES SUCK!!!

Of all the classic monsters like Frankenstein, the Blob, mummy and so, I really really really hate vampires.

1) Their accent. Its irritating, its annoying, its soo THEM. "I waaann tuuu suucckk ye blooodd"
"Whaaatt? Is in mai bluod to tolk like diss...."

2) Their skin complexion. They happened to have pale looking skin.....after sucking so many blood out of us normal people. How big is your tank damn it?! Maybe too much of Olay whitening skin products XD

"Is that the new SKII skin product. Quick, we need to make our skin look more pale than ever, its the new 17th century look!!"

3) They probably are one of the worst boyfriends a girl can get. Take Edward for example, he's confusing, he's emotionally disturbed, he's boring, he dumps his girl in the most terrible way, in a creepy looking forest.
"I thought of dumping you at McDonald's or Chillies, but I think breaking off with you in this creepy forest would be more romantic and more close to the heart. Furthermore it saves me a heck load of time, my house is just nearby here. Not sure about you though...."

4) Leave the bling bling to rappers of the dirty south. Damn it, I don't know whether to laugh or to pity the evolution of vampires. From being afraid of direct sunlight to coming out to expose yourself to sunlight. Since when vampires sparkle?!

"Lil Jon is this crunk up bling dope enough to join your dirty south crew?"

"Whaaaaaaaaaat??!!! Hoooookaaayy yeaahh!!!"

I bet those real, classy vampires and counts would really feel like doing this to Edward and the current modern so-called vampires =)

"Take that you biiaaaattcchhh!!!!"

So Nuffnang.......I want them passes to watch Vampire Suck =)

I just can't get enough of Transformers

Ok, Transformers is coming out soon this month and I'm so frickin' excited. To be honest, I wasn't very much into Transformers because I don't have cable tv at that time (Cartoon Network was airing the animation series rite?). Yeah, parents canceled the cartoon channels so that I won't get addicted to cartoons.

Well, things change for me in 2007. I heard that Transformers The official movie was coming out and I'm bound to expect alot of CGI's in it. Well, there's no way they gonna actually build a real transformer and transform whenever they like, so they have to use computer graphics for sure.

I have a habit of thinking that anything from a cartoon series debuting on the big screen gonna be a flop, but what caught my attention was that Steven Speilberg was the executive producer for this film. And the shocking part is...Micheal Bay is directing it. Micheal's work including Bad Boys 2. So I thought Transformers is gonna be so action packed.

Even though I read that Steven Speilberg is the executive producer for the film, with Micheal Bay directing it, I wasn't fully convinced about a Transformers movie. Until one of my friends sent me a link of a Transformers movie trailer.

And damn, I was blown away. I was introduced to Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Iron Hide, Jazz (the Autobots) and Starscream, Megatron, Frenzy and the others.

I was in the middle of doing research for my Moral project, but I ended up researching about Transformers.

I even set aside all plans on the day of the release of Transformers. I booked the tickets online (Golden Screen Cinemas God bless ya!!!), rushed from school and went to the cinema.

Watching the Transformers battling metal to metal brings the inner child of me. C'mon, I'm sure you all wanted to cheer out loud for Bumblebee when he's going against Barricade. Or maybe before that, I'm sure you feel kiddish excited when you get to see Bumblebee transforming in such an awesome way.

Still awesome.

Or what about when Optimus Prime transform himself from 18 Wheeler. Damn, you'd wish you were in Sam's position.

Throughout the 143 minutes of the film, I wish that there were more Autobots versus Decepticons battle scenes. I thought Megatron would defeat Opty for sure (you gotta admit, Opty sure looks weak going against Mega), but then it happened to be one of the most unexpected end of the battle between them 2. All Optimus Prime did was inserting the Allspark Cube into Megatron's chest. I want Megatron to be torn into pieces!!!

Oh yeah, did I mention Optimus Prime's weapon, two retractable energon blades that extend from both forearms. Those blades kick ass when Optimus was fighting against Bonecrusher (hope my memory aint wrong)

After the movie ends, I really thought of going for a second one, but time permits me from doing so (have alot of homework to do, PMR year).

Back at school, I don't know why I ever thought of every car passing by me would transform and go one on one against another car. Can you imagine Rapid KL Bus going against Metro Bus? That would be so awesome, battling for passengers. Then the taxis would interfere.

Right, I did manage to go for a second Transformer movie outing, and nearly bought the later movie session. You can say I was really addicted to Transformers after watching the trailer for it.

2 years past, and the Transformer fever is still in me. Was so excited when they announced that Transformers 2 : Revenge of the Fallen is coming out this year. And the best part is, it has alot of new robots in it.

And one of them is Constructicons. Its like a massive robot formed by several combining construction vehicles, who walks in a four-legged fashion resembling a gorilla. I watched the Official Trailer for Transformers 2 : Revenge of the fallen at nuffnang.com.my, the Constructicons looks unstoppable. But I know Optimus Prime and gang will find a way to defeat that big meanie.

And.......*spoilers* do you know Megatron is back? I know, I mean, how can they just dispose him in the middle of the cold ocean. Decepticons are high tech for God's sake, they come from space!!!!

Nuffnang.com is proud to organize the premiere screening of Transformers 2 : Revenge of the Fallen courtesy of United International Pictures Malaysia (wheee!!!). The premiere screening will be held at Mid Valley's Golden Screen Cinema on the 22nd of June (Monday), 9:15 p.m.

Nuffnang is giving out 30 pair of tickets for this exclusive Premiere screening, and I want to be one of the lucky 30.

YES NUFFNANG, HEAR MY CRY!!! I WANNA GO TO THE PREMIERE SCREENING!!!! I WANNA SEE METAL ACTION!!!! I'll cancel all my plans on that day just for the screening!!!
