Sigh, at times some Tumblr users are really such fanatics XD

When I said I doubted Safee Sali’s fitness, that doesn’t mean I said HE IS TOTALLY NOT FIT TO PLAY FOOTBALL.

I do want that lad to improve his game, infact I want him to be a hell lot better than he is today, I want him to bring up his game and be BETTER.

If I didn’t want Safee Sali to succeed, I would have had typed a whole different thought last night.

And I forgot to mention, him training with QPR, there is a possibility, but getting signed is a whole different story.

Like I said, Tony Fernandes can’t simply bring in any Ali, Ahmad, Johan, Kumar, Mohan, Ah Beng, Ah Seng to the club. And again I forgot to mention, it depends on the manager, Neil Warnock to decide whether will Abang Safee be signed and what are the chances of him being selected for first team instead of warming up the bench and also whether can he last 90+ minutes a game because the English Premier League is a hell lot tougher than the Indonesian Football League.

I don’t wanna see him just wasting his time on the bench, its a sad sight and I DO NOT want that to happen to him.

Just to make it VERY clear, I DO want Safee Sali to succeed, but let’s be a lil bit realistic la. Its nice to see a local talent making it overseas in the big league, but step by step lah instead of in a rush =)

QPR

So I’m reading a lot of hateful comments by Queens Park Rangers on Facebook about Malaysians posting links about our national striker, Safee Sali. So just because that lad performed well in all of Malaysia’s matches (in which our dear football team lost all, including the World Cup Asian Zone qualifiers)

Let’s be honest, Safee Sali’s chances of being in the Premiership is just ultra-slim. I’m not sure whether is he fit enough to be in the reserves team for QPR.

And just because Tony Fernandes bought a majority stake of the club doesn’t mean he can bring in any Ali, Ahmad, Johan from Malaysia and bring him in the team.

Let’s be realistic, if we were to revive the Malaysian national football team we should have done it years ago, not now. We should have kicked politics out of football a LONG TIME AGO!!!

And to the Malaysians that liked QPR 's official Facebook page just to promote Safee Sali, I urged you guys to just stop. Its embarrassing. I'm not trying to be unpatriotic and not trying to sound as if I don't want a local striker to go overseas and shine. I would be happy and proud that Abang Safee got signed and The Jib would declare that eventful day a holiday. But.....If Safee Sali screwed up in England for the season, would you still cheer him on or be ashamed for what he had done.

The comments by long-term fans, and I mean long-term fans like people who supported Queens Park Rangers for decades and for life, showed how sick they are about us Malaysians promoting a semi-professional (I'm being nice now ok? Be happy I'm calling him a semi-pro footballer) and we're spamming their beloved page.

We have to be realistic, like the chances of Malaysia winning the World Cup, gold in football in Olympics, and what not.

I guess Hitz.fm shouldn't have created that page huh?

What I'm Up To Now

So my 5th semester just started and for the first week I've so far gone through 2 out of 4 subjects for this week. Today's Packaging Design class has been shifted to Thursday 10 a.m to 12 p.m.

And first day of history of Arts class, we're given a small assignment to do. Deadline is in 2 weeks time but I thought of finishing it by the weekend so I don't have to pile it all up on that week to finish it off.

So its been awhile since I've last designed anything on Illustrator. Since last sem the only softwares that I used is After Effects and Autodesk Maya 2008. Maya was the most frustrating one, especially when you have to render the final image.

And lately I've been amazed by this street art called stickerbomb. Basically its a bunch of stickers covering one area and overlapping each another. It could be a car's fender, bumber, side skirt, spoiler etc. Stickerbombing can be found anywhere, be it on someone's laptop, phone, book, a notice board, walls. So instead of buying a book of stickers, I thought of using Adobe Illustrator to do it.

This one is for my ride's 2-din cd MP3 player. I'm still working on it.

If you're a Tumblr user, do search for Batdude =) This panda bear design was inspired by that batdude piece.

So this is what I'm up to now =)

I Love Wing Chun Movie Review

So a few weeks ago I went to watch 'I Love Wing Chun' at GSC, Cheras Leisure Mall. Usually I don't have any expectations on any local Chinese language movies, but for this is an exception because of the collaboration between Hong Kong actors and our local ones. So I expected this movie to be GOOD.

But hell I was so wrong after the first 5 minutes of the movie. The ridiculous lame humor, the ridiculous MY FM reference, the shameless advertising of Kia's new car and Pensonic product placement. I felt that RM 10 for a movie with zero effort in scriptwriting was just too much. The plot was ok, only to be ruined by poor jokes, horrible awkward acting and scenes that are not related at all.

I felt I wasted an hour and forty five minutes watching a movie that's so bad, its a shame the involvement of Hong Kong actors went to waste. So here are the 3 of the many useless scenes in the movie.

I read about how horrible Amber Chia's acting was a few years ago for some horror flick. I thought after a few years she would at least IMPROVED on her acting skills.

Let's just say, she should stick to modelling for now.
I have no idea, this scene has gotta do with Wing Chun in the first place. Amber Chia's character is wearing this sexy nurse outfit and trying to seduce Yuen Wah's character. He went into this medicine shop to buy something to cure for his back problem.

Now this scene, Amber decides to act all seducing and hands all over her body. Fail. And as the camera pans to show the audience her assets, fail. Trying to show cleavage when you don't have in the first place, fail.

I'm not sure whether to laugh at her for making herself look cheap or the fact is she needs an acting coach to get her shit together.

Angel Wong, I felt that she's in the movie for the sake of it. So basically these bunch of jokers are in this Wing Chun chicken rice shop. The ordered the dish and was served by Angel Wong's character. All she did was cut the chicken's backside and asked the bunch of jokers to pay up a hefty sum. So yeah that's the joke for this scene.

The reaction from the audience was WTF. Again I felt that the writing team should be given a tight slap.

This scene, the most stiff Malaysian models ever!! So again the 4 jokers went to this Superstar Wing Chun center, and were greeted by these kayu models. And what awaits for them (and us, the poor audience watching this movie) are a truckload of more poor jokes, awkward timed ones, and the worst Obama look alike ever.

Look, I know you guys might say I'm harsh on a local movie, but damn it this movie could have been a hell lot better. And I mean it. Tian Liang's character is the most odd one. The only bugger to speak in Mandarin when the rest is speaking in Cantonese. Just so you know, Tian Liang used to be a national diver for China, until he retired before the Olympics. And like Amber Chia, he should have just stick to his former profession.

Overall, this movie is just bad. In order to enjoy this movie, you need to flush out all common sense, logic and what not. You need to put aside your brains in order to laugh out loud at their shitty jokes. So far there isn't a review on this movie on the net, so let me be the first to give you an honest review.

Acting, shit
Plot, could have been better
Script writing, the team needs to be slapped in the face
Value, none.

A 2/10 for this movie, and I mean it. Better to spend it on Transformers again or Captain America or Rise of The Planet of The Apes.

Ayam SAD!!

So.....my college kinda made me realized how screwed up my 5th semester is gonna be like. I have classes from 9 a.m to 12 p.m and then 3 p.m to 6 p.m on a Monday.

I frickin' hate Mondays now. Last sem, there were no classes on Mondays and I thank God for that. So fine, I'll deal with the fact that on the first day of the week I have to crawl my arse out of the bed and get prepared and everything and leave the house at 8 : 30 a.m the latest and get stuck in the morning jam.

Guess what? IACT decided to take away my Fridays. Zoom in to see my sad case.

MY GOSH WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH THEM??!! My Fridays are meant to be UNTOUCHED. You don't rob my Fridays just like that. So my Digital Audio and Video tutorial classes are on a Friday. So basically on alternate weeks I have to go for classes.

But guess what? I thought it was gonna be a 9 a.m -12 p.m class. But NOOOOOOO!!!! Mofos decided 3 p.m to 6 p.m is THE BEST TIME.

I just hope next sem isn't as bad as it looks....on my timetable.
