Nokia 5730 XpressMusic

Bye bye N73......you may have serve me well, but a music phone with QWERTY keyboard for messaging and Wifi and an expandable 8GB memory, all I can say is you're gonna leave this year.

I won't be missing your easy to rust joystick, the annoying lagging whenever I multitask. Damn, I won't miss you about your Wi-Fi absence. And for once I can message at instant speed. And what about a landscape view? Haha, I won't miss being able to view my menus at one style only.

Never would I need to jimat cermat on my memory usage. Oh yes!!!

*edited*

I've tested the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic, thanks to Leisure Mall's Nokia shop for giving me a hands-on test. And honestly, I think its the second best music phone after the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. The one feature that really made my mind into changing my phone to the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic is the QWERTY Keyboard. Yes, text messaging was a breeze, but I was kinda worried if whenever I slide the keyboard out, it would turn loose. 0.0.

Screen resolution was great. Very very much more improved. It makes my N73 screen resolution look so darn ugly. 2006 ugly. Oh yeah, did I mention the new feature called the Homescreen. Notice the second picture I posted above? Now do you see a few contacts pictures. Well, you can choose 20 of them to be featured in your Homescreen and see them online. Know what are they doing and what songs are they listening.

The Nokia 5730 is loaded with cool applications. Maps and Facebook, Ovi service, Youtube, Flickr and so on. Can you imagine, Facebook on Nokia. Cool!!! What's the best thing about this phone is that it has WiFi network and you can surf the web for free in any cafe, restaurants, kopitiams that have WiFi service. YES!!

Music player is the same as my N73, only thing is that once you enable landscape mode/screen rotation mode, you'll get a whole lotta different experiences.

Speaking of music, Nokia 5730 has dedicated music keypads, like any other XpressMusic phones in the market. And like the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, you'll get a membership card and you can download 1000 songs for free, thanks to Nokia. F

For music junkies like me, if 2gb ain't enough, then 8gb will do. Now if 8gb still not good for ya, how about 16gb. Good God!!!

As for the camera, I didn't have the chance to try it. I was still playing with the QWERTY keyboard. : ) But I know its a 3.2 Megapixel Carl Zeiss LED camera. Sad part is....no camera cover. Sigh, have to be very careful not to scratch it.

I checked the price tag for this one, and it made me wanna shed tears of joy. For RM 1350 (yes people, no bullshit, this is for real), you get a music phone with wifi, 3.2 Carl Zeis LED camera, a VGA secondary camera, loads of apps, N-Gage, QWERTY Keyboard for texting and so much more. Now, who wants it?

Will do a review once I get this phone. Bye bye N73

Summary of the past few days

Ok, I'm kinda packed for the past few days. Handball training and choir has drained me up, and with the weather not on my side (raining and heat for the past few days), I ended up having sore throat.

Yesterday's handball training session was more like a circus.Lightning and heavy rain had forced our training session has been interrupted. You know we're stubborn, and still continued to play in the rain until Pn. Tan saw us, shouted at us, when then quickly ran to hide. Pn. Tan then called Gan Yang to confiscate our ball.

Gan Yang ran to us, and said...

"All I know is just give me the white ball, don't let me see the other 2 blue handballs."

Thanks Gan Yang.

My sore throat is getting bad to worst. Had to sometimes communicate with sign language, which I find most of my buddies being clueless. So today, I bought 3 bottles of water. Finished all up, wanted to buy some more but canteen went out of stock. They must be wondering whether am I addicted to water?

Just woke up, can't sleep back. That's just me. Have you guys checked out the iPhone 3G yet, I head its the king of all phones now. Its about time they released it in Malaysia. My former primary school tuition teacher had her iPhone stolen. I think now phone stealers are targeting iPhone 3G users. Steve Jobs, you gotta give him a pat on the shoulder for constantly updating and improving iPods and iPhones so much, that by the time you bought the latest one (let's say an iPod Shuffle), he'll release a better, slimer, smaller and cheaper one.

If the current iPhone 3G was a little more slimer, its perfect. Proberly the sexiest phone to date. LOL.

BUY ME THIS!!!

Mum and dad was advising me not to listen to my music (rock, hip hop, turn table, acoustics, blues, R&B) through my headset at a maximum volume. They say it affects my hearing. Fine, I will sell my cheap AP Nokia Headset (anyone wants? selling for RM 30).

Well, you can't expect Maccaroni Boy listening to his songs through his Nokia N73 stereo speakers? So, I actually asked my dad to get me an Altec Lansing Nobi portable speaker for me as a birthday gift.

Dad and I went to Low Yat to search high and low for this bloody speaker. It wasn't available.

.......until I saw it at Jusco Balakong selling for RM 240. Shyte.

So, I went to Google.com for reviews for this Altec Lansing speakers. You see, Altec Lansing is known for producing high quality speakers, headphones, headsets, and speakers for phones, PC and home audio. But most of the reviews said that Altec Lansing Nobi's sound quality is not very good at all. Especially when at maximum volume level. So, screw the Altec Lansing Nobi, and I decided to search for other high quality stereo speakers for my phone.

Once I typed "High quality speakers for phones", this 'babe' turned up.

Oh yeah, one 'hot' speaker to die for.

Guys and gals, meet the BlueAnt M1 Stereo Bluetooth Speakers.

With a very very sexy sleek design, designed with high quality materials, ultra-solid and refined detailing.

It comes with a handy casing, in case you wanna listen to your music on the go.

The best part, the buttons are positioned startegically well. Just what as I expected, 'play button' on the top, 'prev' and 'next' on the left and right respectively.

There are so many great things about this BlueAnt speaker, it has a build-in subwoofer. Even the Altec Lansing has no balls to fit it into the Nobi!!!!

And I also no need to worry about buying lots of batteries as the speaker is able to use rechargeble batteries. And with 10 hours of playtime with medium volume, and thanks to the powerful NiMH rechargeble battery pack, it happens to offer 1500 hours of standby time!!!!

This is like the grand daddy of Bluetooth speakers. Thankfully my Nokia N73 has A2DP support, I am able to play music wirelessly whenever I want.

You know what's the bad part, it cost US Dollar 199. So, you do the math.

So....if anybody buys me this gadget, I belanja you 50 Hagen Dazz!!!
